This musical drama was scripted by Dr. Ramvallabh Acharya, directed by Manoj Nayar and presented by the artistes of Madhukali Vrind, Bhopal. Pt. Om Prakash Chourasiya was the music director. An art critic, Vinay Upadhyaya considerd this venture of Madhukali to present the historic struggle of India for freedom through poetic verses an appreciable endeavor. This was the first foray into acting for the artistes of the Vrind, who up to now were restricted to choric presentations off and on stage.

The creative step of Madhuakli Vrind not only brings alive the hundred years of freedom struggle, but establishes the power of collaboration. As noted by Dr. Ragini Trivedi, musical collaboration is the ideal form of existential achievement, for it combines the ethereal unification of self with universal spirit along with a recognition of material entity of kindred souls. The artistes of Madhukali confessed to such an experience.
